During the conference, Mr. Al Qubaisi said that the 1st cycle of the award attracted much attention and witnessed the participation of creative and innovative students who took part in the award with distinguished and outstanding ideas. “This helped the Chamber achieve the strategic goals behind launching the award including spreading the culture of business entrepreneurship and instilling the principles of innovation and creativity within the local community as a means to realize the sustainable development and to build a promising generation able to excel in all sectors and on all levels,” he said. The Director General emphasized on the success of the 1st cycle of the award in which around 1,400 students took part, many of whom went through training and workshops tailored specifically to accommodate their respective age groups. He added that the Future Entrepreneurship Award provides a real opportunity for young entrepreneurs to display their ideas, inventions and projects before the public on an interactive platform in a specialized exhibition. Al Qubaisi pointed out that in the 1st cycle of the award three distinguished and innovative ideas were adopted and guaranteed patent registration and future funding for their owners after fulfilling all terms and conditions, stressing that it is expected the 2nd cycle of the award to witness the participation of more 3,000 students. By concluding his remarks, Mr. Al Qubaisi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the awards strategic partners for enriching the award and helping it achieve its goals, emphasizing that the Abu Dhabi Chamber will continue making new initiatives to support the private sector and businesses in Abu Dhabi.
It is worth noting that the 2nd cycle of the award will include 15 awards divided over three categories: Cycle 2 school students, Cycle 3 school students and University Students. The award targets public and private school and university students in Abu Dhabi.
There is a website designed specifically for the award which includes all the necessary information participants need to start thinking of their projects.
150 schools and 18 universities, colleges and institutes in Abu Dhabi confirmed their participation in the field workshops of the award.
Five awards are specified for each category: Best Bright Idea, Best innovative Idea, Best Investment-Product Idea, Best Technological Project, and Best Marketing & Mobile App.
