Within its endeavor to streamline community work, ensure a prosperous future for the succeeding generations, and to strengthen its partnership with the businesses sector, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the adoption of three sustainable development goals.
“We are working according to specific values equipped with corporate nationalism,” said His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“We are streamlining our objectives to go in line with the national, regional and international ambitions of sustainable development, especially considering that all our achievements and efforts are directed towards realizing the objectives of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and the UAE Vision 2021 by placing the UAE amongst the top countries in terms of sustainable development.”
The Director General pointed out that the efforts the Abu Dhabi Chamber exerts comes to cope with the directives of the wise leadership in streamlining the sustainable development work considering the preparations of all public entities in drawing the frameworks for the next fifty years.
Al Mheiri added that the three sustainable development goals, which are adopted by the Chamber, include supporting equal opportunities and contributing to the development of strong and diverse economy, pointing out that the Chamber applies the best economic and administrative standards to contribute to developing a knowledge-based economy.
The second goal comes to for gender equality and women empowerment. The Abu Dhabi Chamber aims at realizing the highest levels of gender equality and women empowerment at work.
The third goal is working for peace, justice and strong institutions. The Chamber has always worked towards supporting the governance of local institutions and empowering them within its objectives of realizing the sustainable development.
