Abu Dhabi Chamber receives a Korean delegation of emerging companies from Gang Nam-Joo province in Korea

Mr. Rashid Taresh Al Qubaisi received the Korean delegation in which he delivered a welcoming remarks saying: “We hope that this visit will achieve its objectives in improving the economic and investment cooperation between our two friendly countries. The Republic of South Korea is one of the most important trading partners for the UAE in general and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular.

This is conceivable when the Abu Dhabi Chamber established representative offices abroad. Korea was one of the first countries where the Chamber established such offices. This visit is particularly important because it includes a large number of industrial companies and representatives of various dynamic Korean sectors.”

“We seize this opportunity to invite all Korean industrial companies, especially in the fields of electronics, automotive, petrochemical, technology products, communications, health and other fields, to establish strategic partnerships with the UAE companies and those operating and playing a vital role in supporting sustainable economic development plans and projects in Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general,” he added.

Al Qubaisi pointed out that the UAE is one of the largest markets for Korean industries, especially electronics and automotive industry. “It is therefore important that Korean industrial companies establish production and assembly units in Abu Dhabi, where access to the GCC and Middle East markets in general is easy. This will increase the competitiveness of their products due to lower production and transport costs. Since the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has a strategic location, Korean industrial units have easy access to European markets from here,” he remarked.

Al Qubaisi concluded by saying that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is fully prepared to support Korean companies wishing to work and invest in Abu Dhabi and to provide all the facilities to make Korean investments in the emirate a success.

For his part, Lee Dong Ki / President of Innovation and Start-up Group OF KITA, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Chamber’s hospitality, saying that the meeting is very important to discuss cooperation relations with Emirati companies. “We have ambitions and initiatives to hold stronger and more distinguished economic relations with businesses operating in Abu Dhabi. This meeting will open more doors for businesses in both countries to increase investment opportunities and discuss the best means of cooperation in different sectors,” he said.
