Abu Dhabi Chamber concludes Arbitrators’ Habilitation and Development Program (2019)
Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Center concluded one of the Chamber’s initiatives, which is the fifth (last) phase of Arbitrators’ Habilitation and Development Program 2019 under the title of “The Practical Mock Trial”. The participants were provided with a practical arbitral case with its documents to study and they were divided into groups for the purpose of discussion, feedback provision and preparing the papers. This phase is considered an authentic and practical application to all what had been theoretically studied in the previous phases.
A ceremony of conferring certificates upon the graduates was held at the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies in Abu Dhabi with the presence of HE Mohammed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, HE Ahmed Al Najm, Secretary General of the GCC Commercial Arbitration Center and Dr. Ibraheem Qasem, CEO of Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Center.
“This program has been executed to meet the desire of those who are interested in the field of arbitration and it is distinguished by the existence of a carefully-selected elite of trainers specialized in this field,” said HE Al Mheiri.
It is worth mentioning that this programme contributes to the qualification of the national cadres across the GCC to enable them get involved in the field of arbitration. Moreover, it leverages the level of arbitral performance for the people working in this field under scientific supervision of Dr. Majdi Ibraheem Qasem, center’s CEO.
