Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes a meeting for the supporters of Future Pioneers Award for Innovation and Creativity for the Juniors and Young
As one of its most important strategic initiatives launched in the “Year of Zayed” 2018, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting for the supporters of the Future Pioneers Award for Creativity and Innovation for Juniors and Youth to complement the Chamber’s project system that aims at enriching business community across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi which would contribute to the promotion of entrepreneurship culture and increasing its activities and effectiveness to strengthen the national economy.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, and the strategic partners of the initiative: Department of Education and Knowledge, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, and Department of Economic Development in Abu-Dhabi, universities that have business incubators and innovation centers, active shareholders and a large number of supporters of future pioneers ideas and projects.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the supporters of this initiative, for attending the meeting and for their commitment to participate and contribute to support the initiative for the success of its objectives. He also considered this as a priority in activating the responsibility of the institutions and organizations, to promote common work and strive to achieve the vision and strategy of the UAE in the development and support of human resources. This will help elevate them to the best levels, by disseminating entrepreneurship culture, and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship among youth, students and juniors as future makers and entrepreneurs, which aligns with the strategic vision of our wise leadership.

Al Qubaisi stressed that the launch of this initiative comes in line with the Abu Dhabi’s Sustainable Economic Development Plan, which aims at expanding the growth of SME sector, and to promote entrepreneurship culture and talent development, noting that the initiative is an integrated approach that seeks to define innovation and creativity in entrepreneurship as a concept, thought, practice and application, through creating a competitive environment that includes the youth and future generations, in the context of the information revolution, artificial intelligence and the future foresight. This would create new ideas and concepts for an innovative and new knowledge-based economy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Al Qubaisi noted that this initiative has achieved a set of important goals. The most important of which is the promotion and dissemination of entrepreneurship culture in the community, illustrated by more than 1,400 participations through the award website and filling out of registration forms by which the initiative had participated in many community forums and events since its inception in July 2018.
The initiative has also achieved an important goal by activating and coordinating the integration work among institutions of public and private sectors to build and develop a generation of successful entrepreneurs equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to help them to engage in business through innovative projects by relying on scientific principles and strategies. He also pointed out to the number of entities and institutions wishing to provide support and positive interaction for the success of this initiative, which is becoming a community culture seeking to develop a creative and innovative investment and pioneering generation that contributes to strengthen and sustain the national economy envisaged by our wise leadership.
On the other hand, the supporter entities, institutions and universities that have business incubators and innovation centers, presented their areas of contribution, support and participation that will bring this project into success. This aims in its entirety at empowering young Emiratis and future generations to launch their talents and stimulate their potentials in creativity and innovation, and provide a platform to show their ideas and meet their aspirations for effective participation in the process of sustainable development in the UAE and shaping its future.
Among the most important universities and colleges contributing to support this initiative are Khalifa University, Al Ain University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi University, Abu Dhabi New York University, Abu Dhabi School of Management and Abu Dhabi Education and Training Institute.
Private and public sector entities and institutions involved in contributing to support the initiative's activities are the Ministry of the Economy through the National Program of SMEs, the Department of Economic Development through the program "Takamul ", the Etisalat Group, the Zayed Higher Organization, the Social Security Fund and "Fazaa Card ".
