Meeting for Supreme Committee of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA), 4th April 2019

The Supreme Steering Committee of the SKEA belonging to the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held continuous meetings at the Chamber building with the Award Office affiliated to the Office of the Director General of the Chamber to review the progression and performance of the seventeenth session of the SKEA.


HE Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the award,  HE Mohammed Hilal Al Mheiri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber and member of the Supreme Committee of the award, HE Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Supreme Committee, Prof. Hadi Mohammed Al Tijani, General Coordinator of the award and a number of members from the Award Office in the Chamber attended the meeting.


HE Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the SKEA said that in its recent meetings the Supreme Committee has focused on the importance of achieving value added for all those involved in the award, whether they are from participating companies, assessors, arbitrators or other entities of the public and private sectors. 


 

Al Fahim added that the prize bearing the name of His Highness the President of the UAE (May Allah protect him), is a sparkling crown of honour and prestige on it. Moreover, the award receives generous care and monitor from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces (May Allah protect him). No wonder then if the Award has achieved the highest degrees of administrative and technical excellence in all its organizational and executive affairs. 


Al Fahim pointed out that the Supreme Committee of the Award and through its recent meetings, was satisfied with the work readiness of the Award Office through all its technical and administrative affairs related to the results of the current session of the Award, and all participants as well as the arrangements for the closing ceremony of the Award which will be held on 22nd of April 2019 in Abu Dhabi.


 


On his part, HE Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Supreme Committee of the Award, stressed the promotion of the role of the award assessors and the activation of Ambassadors of Excellence to listen to their opinions and share experiences, through meetings organized by the Award Office and the participation of members of Supreme Committee of the award.


His Excellency Mohammed Hilal Al Mheiri stressed that the office of the SKEA, affiliated to the Office of the Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, receives the highest degrees of interest from the Chamber, and has the independence and administrative flexibility that qualifies it to play its leading role in managing this important national project with the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness. 


The Director General of the Chamber also stressed the importance of the award in achieving the vision of the Abu Dhabi Chamber to promote the capacity building of the private sector within the development of institutional building through the technical and administrative standards adopted by the award.


Within the frame of institutional assessment of the award at its seventeenth session this year, Prof. Hadi al-Tijani said that the Supreme Committee for Arbitration meeting will be held at the end of next week, to review the results pertaining to all participant categories, in prelude for the Supreme Committee of the SKEA for final approval before announcing it at the end of this session.
