Under the Patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, The Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council launches 5th awareness campaign 2019 under the slogan of The Future of Entrepreneurship in a Changing World Events and programs focusing on innovation, 4g technolo

At the outset of her speech, HE Mariam Al Rumeithi said that the ADBWC is honored to have the 5th consecutive campaign under the Patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation, Chairperson of Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Honorary Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Association, the Mother of the Nation, the Leader of the successful journey of the Emirati woman. She who has born the inspirations and expectations of the Emirati female supporting her and promoting her potentials and empowerment to help her achieve tremendous success in many fields locally, regionally and internationally. She also added that without HH’s constant support, the ADBWC would not have achieved this success.
HE Al Rumeithi stressed that this 5th campaign completes the successful previous same editions launched within the frame of implementing projects, initiatives and objectives of the 5-year plan 2015-2019 which aims at enabling the woman to effectively participate in entrepreneurship and to ensure her constant existence according to the latest international practices which would promote the Emirati woman’s culture of entrepreneurship in a competitive business environment.
She also added that the organization of the campaign in its new content aligns with the UAE’s strategic economic trend in general and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular. It also intends to keep up with the future of economic development within an accelerated world of transformation towards artificial intelligence, high-techs and IT systems which would shape a new future for man. “With the existence of new models of business administration, it is paramount important for the Abu Dhabi Businesswoman Council to raise the awareness of entrepreneurs and businesswomen about the current changes. This helps the UAE adopt the approach of artificial intelligence and innovation which it is globally-competed to achieve the first rank in the 4th industrial revolution,” she said.
New Initiative
HE Al Rumaithi launched new several initiatives in this campaign including establishing Future Entrepreneur Council and Electronic Stand for young future entrepreneurs focusing on the young generation who will complete the journey of sustainable economic development based on innovation and knowledge. She pointed out that there are strategic partners in this 5th campaign like Youth Councils and Community Development Department in Abu Dhabi so that visions and objectives will be integrated to achieve comprehensive economic development. The targeted people will be business ladies, entrepreneurs, ladies of “Mubdi’a License”, ladies in youth councils, school and university students and ladies in general. This campaign will focus on the accelerated changes that may affect entrepreneurship, particularly development and innovation have become the incentive drivers of economic development on both long and short runs as well. Therefore, it is necessary to build the potentials of entrepreneurs in the field of knowledge and technology to benefit from the opportunities and face challenges.
Campaign Objectives
On her part, Dr. Huda Al Matrooshi stressed that one of the pivotal objectives of this campaign is its contribution to achieve the standards and vision of Abu Dhabi in innovation, digital transformation and artificial intelligence as well as raising awareness of future investment opportunities. This campaign also aims at supporting the youth to play a vital role in utilizing their innovative resources and ideas to create entrepreneurial opportunities. Moreover, it encourages entrepreneur ladies to invest in the cutting-edge technologies so that they can create new innovative economic opportunities shedding light on the national policies that support ladies. Finally, the campaign backs the government’s efforts to help raise the woman’s participation in the business market to achieve balance between the two genders and to organize promotional exhibitions.
Activities and Programs
Salma Aqeeda Al Muheiri, said that this campaign will organize workshops and specialized programs for training, development and various consultation in new and changing economy. The ADBWC will organize exhibitions for businesswomen, entrepreneurs and innovators in order to promote the products and initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence and other economic fields in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra where a large number of businesswomen and entrepreneurs will participate. Additionally, the campaign will raise awareness about the role of business incubators and Mubdi’a Programs focusing on their services. Apart from that, it will shed light on the innovative entrepreneurship club which would enhance the channels of communication among entrepreneurs and students in general, to encourage innovation and creativity, provide a stand for participation and share experience. More significantly, the campaign will organize the 2nd session of best idea for an innovative project which was launched in 2018 where many Emirati participants provided a large number of innovative an dcreative ideas.
Figures and Stats
Alia Al Mazrouie, said that the number of events, specialized programs and workshops that have been organized and held in the four previous campaigns between 2015 and 2018 is 117 where 2719 participants involved in those events with 94% of satisfaction. During the same period, 54 marketing exhibitions were organized at the level of Abu Dhabi where 988 business ladies and entrepreneurs participated with over 92% of satisfaction.

In her closing remarks, HE Mariam Al Rumaithi thanked HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak for her kind sponsorship and constant support for Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council and her follow-up of the Council’s projects, initiatives and activities, as well. She also thanked the strategic partners of public and private sectors and journalists who have been supporting the campaigns. Her special thanks were extended to the Council’s umbrella, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the major arm for the business voice in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the ancient institution that has been working diligently to back the business environment sparing no effort to bring the Council’s events to success which would achieve integrated work for promoting sustainable economic development.
