Abu Dhabi Chamber and Cuba affirm their interests in boosting cooperation between Emirati and Cuban businesses

Holding their meeting at EXPO 2020 Dubai, Al Mazrui said that Cuba one of the key nations in the Caribbean and a pivotal investment center, pointing out that the economic relations between the UAE and Cuba witnessed considerable growth on all trade and investment levels.

He expressed the eagerness of the business sector in Abu Dhabi to explore all the features of trade and investments in Cuba and the need to coordinate the work between the Abu Dhabi and Cuba chambers as well as organizing exchanged visits and business meetings in order to develop and enhance business relations.

Al Mazrui also highlighted the features of the business environment of Abu Dhabi, noting that the Emirate has become an important commercial hub for doing business thanks to the flexible legislative system and its advanced infrastructure.

The Chairman emphasized on the readiness of the Chamber to provide all the support needed to increase intertrade rates and to create a suitable environment for businesses to grow, especially that the business environments in Abu Dhabi and Cuba focus on promising sectors for a sustainable economy and to motivate creative and technology, economic diversification and renewable energy.

For his part, H.E. Antonio Carricarte Corona, President of Cuba Chamber of Commerce, expressed his country’s interest in building trade, economic, touristic and investment relations between businesses in Abu Dhabi and Cuba, pointing to the great economic capabilities of both the UAE and Cuba describing them as gateways to the their respective regions.

Corona also pointed to the opportunities the UAE is offering during EXPO 2020 Dubai, where the world meets which gives a great opportunity for businesses to benefit from all the promising opportunities, especially in the economic sectors of common interest.
