In an exceptional year impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has organized an honoring ceremony to the winners of the 3rd edition of the Internal Excellence Award at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi.

In his opening remarks, His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, emphasized on the importance of honoring the winners of the 3rd edition of the award 2020-2021, considering it an annual key initiative by the Chamber to increase competitiveness internally and develop the skills of all the Chamber’s employees so that they can compete in the government’s corporate excellence activities. 

“The Internal Excellence Award is directed towards raising awareness about the requirements and standards of excellence and quality; developing the different services of the Chamber as well as improving the work mechanisms in order to increase the role of the Chamber in realizing the national agenda of the UAE,” he said.

The Director General pointed out that the award was exceptional this year considering the digital transformation it underwent, inline with all the Chamber’s services, to cope with the precautionary measures imposed to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

H.E. Al Mheiri noted that more than 90 employees from the Chamber’s different departments took part in this year’s award, who competed to apply the best international practices in terms of performance, initiatives, and innovation as well as continuous learning and obtaining knowledge. “The Abu Dhabi Chamber is well aware to appreciate their efforts and honor their accomplishments,” he added.

Concluding his remarks, Al Mheiri expressed his thanks and appreciation to the organizing team for sparing no efforts in making this event a success. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to all the participating employees who showed excellent and creative performance; thus, contributing to realizing the objective of the Chamber and to the success of its endeavors.
