His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has received honorable Mia Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, and the accompanying delegation at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of the Chamber, attended the meeting as well.  Both sides discussed increasing trade cooperation and communication between businesses in both Abu Dhabi and Barbados.  H.E. Al Mheiri emphasized on the importance of the visit of the Prime Minister to the Chamber, which would push economic relations between Barbados and the UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular. He pointed to the awareness of the Abu Dhabi Chamber in building trade and investment relations with different economic activities as well as constantly opening new doors for international businesses to invest in the emirate.  The Director General presented to the PM the available investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi, shedding light on the features the emirate offers to attract foreign investments, making from it a key economic hub regional and internationally.
For her part, honorable Mia Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, said that it is her first time to the UAE, praising the urban development of the country. She emphasized on the working continuously towards developing bilateral relations between the two countries on all levels. She also stressed on the need to increase trade and investment cooperation relations and encouraging joint work as well as holding extended meetings between the officials from both countries.
