Abu Dhabi Chamber is the first Chamber in the world to release sustainability report according to GRI standards

His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and industry, said that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is the first Chamber of Commerce in the world to draft and release the Annual Sustainability Report according to the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). He pointed out that the Abu Dhabi Chamber has set a foot in this field by joining the GRI GOLD Community, which reflects its commitment to the sustainable practices in all of its businesses and services.

“We, at the Abu Dhabi Chamber, are working according to our values and towards harmonizing our goals with the national, regional and international ambitions of the sustainable development, especially that all our efforts are focused towards realizing the objectives of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and UAE Vision 2021 in making the UAE the best country in sustainability,” he said.

Considering it the representative of the private sector in Abu Dhabi, the Chamber plays a prominent role in applying and realizing sustainability. It provides an optimal platform and an excellent investment climate that reflects positively on the social, economic and environmental aspects of the emirate. 

The Chamber also works side by side with the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group (ADSG) and all the competent authorities to provide a unique business environment that allows its member to practice their businesses according to sustainable practices and with a spirit of social responsibility.
