About Us
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 1969 by an Emiri decree issued by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Chamber was born out of the need to forge a unified body to support, promote,enhance and protect the business interests of enterprises in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The Chamber’s initiatives, programs, and events, which are recognised by the wise leadership and the business community as a whole, act asa medium of communication between the private sector and the government, and, at the same time, bring business communities from around the world together. The Chamber receives large numbers of trade delegations, decision-makers, and representatives of global chambers of commerce every year, helping Abu Dhabi establish its position as a leader in different sectors, and a top destination for investment and doing business.

Established as an independent organization, the Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre (arbitrateAD) acts as a neutral and impartial dispute resolution forum for commercial and government entities.

The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) is a comprehensive program for organizational performance development, launched by Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) in 1999 to increase the competitiveness of organizations operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular and the UAE in general through enlightened adoption of the principles and concepts of total quality and organizational excellence. The program is based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model and it’s a business framework that helps organizations learn and apply best practices and measure corporate financial and operational performance indicators, thereby sustaining the best financial and operational results on the ground.
