Abu Dhabi Chamber discusses economic cooperation with Latvia and kosovo



Both sides discussed developing economic
cooperation means between the two countries.

Ambassador Kurme said that her visit to the Abu
Dhabi Chamber comes within her country’s efforts to extend economic and
investment cooperation bridges between Latvia and Abu Dhabi, considering the
economic openness of the capital which has become a supportive and attractive
environment for businesses.




She pointed out that Latvia is one of the
promising markets which has long experiences in key sectors including tourism,
agriculture, pharmaceuticals, IT, renewable energy, and food and beverages,
especially that Latvia is known for its organic foods.




Ms. Kurme called for Abu Dhabi to consider
organizing trade delegations between the business communities in both countries
with the goal of taking a closer look at the available investment opportunities
and developing economic relations and bringing them to the highest level which
would serve their joint interests.





His Excellency Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi,
Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has received Ms.
Astra Kurme, Latvian Ambassador to UAE, at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi,
with the attendance of Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al-Qubaisi, Deputy Director General
of the Abu Dhabi Chamber.

Both sides discussed developing economic
cooperation means between the two countries.

Ambassador Kurme said that her visit to the Abu
Dhabi Chamber comes within her country’s efforts to extend economic and
investment cooperation bridges between Latvia and Abu Dhabi, considering the

She pointed out that Latvia is one of the

Ms. Kurme called for Abu Dhabi to consider

For his part, H.E. Al-Rumaithi emphasized on the
importance of enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the businessmen and
investors operating in Abu Dhabi with their counterparts in Latvia, noting that
Abu Dhabi has become a hub for international companies which have the desire to
setup regional offices and centers considering the strategic location of the
emirate, which made out of it a launching point for neighboring markets.

He added that Abu Dhabi Chamber works on
encouraging Emirati investors to invest in Latvia considering the great and
promising investment opportunities in many important sectors.

H.E. Al-Rumaithi also received Mr. Amir Ahmeti,
Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Kosovo, at the Chamber’s Tower and
discussed with him developing economic cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Ahmeti called on forming a joint committee
between Kosovo and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and industry with
the aim of increasing economic cooperation considering the distinguished and
strategic bilateral cooperation between the two sides.

On the other hand, H.E. Al-Rumaithi expressed the
support of the Abu Dhabi Chamber to form joint business committees to increase
the competitiveness of the business community in new and promising markets.

The Chairman added that the Republic of Kosovo is
a suitable economic destination for Emirati big projects considering the distinguished
bilateral relations between the two sides, pointing out that the Abu Dhabi
Chamber, being the voice of the private sector in Abu Dhabi, will not stop at
nothing to support the sector and increase expansion opportunities to new
markets.




The Chairman added that the Republic of Kosovo is
a suitable economic destination for Emirati big projects considering the distinguished
bilateral relations between the two sides, pointing out that the Abu Dhabi
