The Abu Dhabi Chamber has announced the completion of 1,500 transactions through the Chamber’s digital platform since its launch in the last week of March 2020.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber has announced the completion of 1,500 transactions through the Chamber’s digital platform since its launch in the last week of March 2020. The platform has witnessed significant number of its members logging in onto the platform.

The Chamber also added that the Chamber’s employees are performing their duties remotely from home considering the current health conditions across the globe. It provided the necessary tools and equipment to ensure the provision of its services digitally with the same quality and as fast as possible to all businesses operating in the emirate.
The launch of the Digital platform comes within the approach of the Chamber towards its digital transformation in serving its members.

His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, said that the Chamber has started working remotely following the directives of the related authorities in applying social distancing and in stopping the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on its employees as well as businesses across the emirate.
H.E. Al Mheiri said that remote work has a number of benefits including an increase in employees’ productivity considering the flexibility of work, zero transportation time to and fro the workplace, lower number of employees working in same workspace of those who have to be present at their desks to perform their duties. “Remote work also lessens operational costs as well,” he added.

“We are in contact with different businesses and investors via the Chamber’s digital platform,” he pointed out, adding, “The Chamber’s different departments are always cooperating with each other remotely using the latest technological methods in order to perform their duties and help investors do their businesses with ease while saving time and effort.”
The Director General added, “By applying remote work as well as coping with the Digital Month announced by the government of Abu Dhabi in March and in supporting the “Stay Home” Initiative, the Abu Dhabi Chamber announced the launch of the Chamber’s Digital Platform.”

Al Mheiri pointed out that the digital platform offers the following services: Registering, renewing and cancelling memberships, opening new branch, modifying trade names, modifying an activity / address, adding and cancelling a partner, Certificates of Origin (individuals and businesses), To Whom it May Concern, Businessman Certificates, and membership certificates. Services such as attesting documents electronically and cancelling e-services subscription fees are available as well.

“Providing the Chamber’s services digitally will contribute to the efforts of the government in realizing the sustainable economic development and enhancing the quality of electronic services of the government in Abu Dhabi,” H.E. Al Mheiri concluded.
