Certificate of Origin

Issuing certificates of origin is for the purpose of facilitating export and re-export operations. This procedure aims at issuing certificates of origin related to goods that are to be exported outside the country which are of a foreign origin. This procedure is applicable to all registered individuals registered with the Chamber (i.e. members) and all non-registered ones (i.e. non-members) desirous of exporting a product outside the country. A product manufactured inside the UAE shall be excluded from that, for it has another entity granting its respective export certificate.

Note

Fees shall be doubled in case of the elapse of membership's expiry date; and AED 5 shall added for each extra copy.


Requesting Certificates:

This procedure aims at issuing different types of certificates in Arabic and English; such certificates are issued as per the desire of a customer so as to be use them in his different transactions with banks, public departments and semi-governmental organizations and foreign embassies. This procedure is intended to both expand members' services and curtail obstacles being encountered by them in some entities.

  1. To Whom It May Concern Certificate (Arabic & English)
  2. A certificate that contains the membership number, trade name, names of owners or partners, partnership percentage, validity of the membership and any additional information required by the customer.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter from the company signed by the person concerned and
    • An authorized signatory / signature.

    Fees:

    • AED 100
  3. Certificate of Translating the Membership Certificate into English
  4. A translation of the membership certificate into English at the customer's request.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter signed by the person concerned and
    • An authorized signatory / signature.

    Fees:

    • AED 100
  5. A Replacement
  6. Members are able to request a replacement certificate in case of losing the original.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter from the person concerned to the effect of losing the membership certificate and
    • An authorized signatory / signature.

    Fees:

    • AED 100
  7. Businessman Certificate:
  8. A certificate that contains a list of the memberships held by a businessman.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter signed by the person concerned,
    • An authorized signatory / signature and
    • A copy of the passport.

    Fees:

    • AED 100
  9. A Statement of Non-ownership of Memberships:
  10. A certificate that proves the non-ownership by the person concerned of any membership at the Chamber.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter signed by the person concerned,
    • An authorized signatory/signature and
    • A copy of the passport.

    Fees:

  11. Transaction Pending Membership-related Procedure (Renewal):
  12. A certificate that is given to members and proves that they are still following up the procedures of renewing their memberships but have not finished such procedures yet.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter signed by the person concerned
  13. Statement of non-registered memberships:
  14. A certificate that is given to persons or members who are looking for a name of a company which does not exist.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter signed by the person concerned and
    • An authorized signatory/signature
    • A copy of the passport.

    Fees:

  15. A Recommendation Certificate:
  16. A certificate that is given to members for their good conduct.

    Required Documents:

    • A letter signed by the person concerned and
    • An authorized signatory/signature.
