Providing Legal Consulting Services
The Legal Services Department is committed to providing high-quality legal consulting services to the Chamber's members, departments and general inquirers from the government, semi-government and private sectors. It also keeps the local business community well informed and updated on different enacted laws and legislation, particularly those regulating commercial affairs. This is mainly done through responding to legal inquiries and providing legal advice, whether on matters referred by the Chamber's departments or received from outside through correspondences or hand delivery , phone , via e-mail or by
concerned customers visiting its offices.
Review and Follow-up of Complaints received by the Chamber from members and others:
The Department deliberately deals with commercial complaints received by the Chamber and tries to resolve them amicably by bringing points of view closer together between disputed parties or exchange of letters. Several meetings involving a single dispute may be arranged between the involved parties before reaching an anticipated agreement. The department continues following up incurring developments in order to expedite the process of costless settlement, while ensuring maintained and sustained business relations between the involved parties
