The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) announced the formation of a building materials working group in the city of Al Ain as the group held its founding meeting at the ADCCI’s building based in Al Ain. The meeting was chaired by HE Mohamed Rashed Al Hameli, Abu Dhabi Chamber’s Director-General, and attended by chairmen and managers of building materials trading companies operating in Al Ain.

Speaking at the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al Hameli stressed the importance of founding the group in the city of Al Ain and gave a presentation on the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s objectives, working groups and strategy of direct communication with its members, including business owners, companies and firms operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Moreover, Mr. Al Hameli urged the chairman and members of the Building Materials-Trading Working Group’s Representative Committee to boost their efforts for contributing to the process of comprehensive economic development in Abu Dhabi.

The group should act as one harmonious team with a view to both study the requirements of such a vital sector and make recommendations intended to improve it, he affirmed, noting that the “Building materials trade and industry is an important economic activity, which influences all other sectors and businesses owing to its active role in providing necessary items for the building and construction sector and; accordingly, in making an active contribution to furtherance of the emirate’s urban movement and infrastructure”.
