ADCCI and Development Fund Sign Agreement

A memorandum of understanding and co-operation was signed yesterday’s noon between the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund (ADDF). The agreement is intended to share and co-operate in all fields related to each party’s activities, to help create an advanced local and external investments-stimulating environment, as well as to mutually utilize technical, technological and other capabilities contributed by either party.

The agreement was signed for the chamber by HE Mohamed Rashed Al Hameli; ADCCI Director-General, and for the ADDF by HE Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Acting ADDF Director-General.

“This agreement aims at exchanging information on strategies and policies concerning each party’s business and activities, compiling laws and legislations associated with both parties’ business and activities, exchanging information and publications issued by the two parties, along with taking part in publishing joint periodical newsletters, including economic reports, articles and pieces of news,” Mr. Al Suwaidi noted while commenting on the event.

For his own part, Mr. Al Hameli stressed the importance of both signing the present memorandum of understanding with the ADDF and provisions included therein. The Abu Dhabi Chamber is going to achieve such items through co-operation with the fund, especially as regards the enhancement of helping to create an advanced local and external investments-stimulating environment, working towards the reactivation and streamlining of the private sector’s role, together with attracting foreign investors in a manner that would be instrumental in the achievement of sustainable economic development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
