The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) Abu Dhabi International Centre for Organizational Excellence (ADICOE) sponsored for the third year running the Gulf Forum for Voluntary Work and the 2nd Emirates Conference for Voluntary Work the proceedings of which were concluded yesterday.
Stressing the significance of ADICOE’s sponsorship of and participation in this important conference, Professor Hadi Altijani, ADICOE CEO, noted that the centre’s participation comes to emphasize the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a culture that is integral to that of organizational excellence ADICOE strives to disseminate in the circles of state and private organizations.
ADICOE is going to provide all forms of social responsibility-related technical and administrative support to the UAE Academy the foundation of which was announced yesterday, Mr. Altijani said, underlining the significant commitment to such a project driven by the culture of organizational excellence being followed by the ADICOE, which looks after its affairs and contributes to its advancement.
The action paper presented by the centre in the second session of the events focused on how to develop a corporate strategy for the implementation of social-responsibility initiatives as part of other operational and financial objectives of organizations in general, something which has been highlighted by the Abu Dhabi Social Responsibility Award for which the centre has developed its framework, infrastructure and the entire relevant criteria, Mr. Altijani stated, pointing out that the UAE Academy for Social Responsibility (UAEASR) will be the sole entity assigned to introduce training and consultancy programmes appertaining to the concept of CSR UAE-wide.
The incorporation of the UAEASR is a qualitative breakthrough in human development in the UAE and the ADICOE seeks to actively contribute to its advancement and to give it a push forward, he accentuated, saying that the ADICOE is going over the upcoming short period to announce new projects and services, including the signature of agreements with a number of the most reputed and most important vocational and educational institutions in major advanced countries. This comes within the context of the ADICOE’s pursuit of attracting the best management practices, chiefly in the fields of quality, excellence, organizational excellence, executive educational programmes and benchmarking ones besides training and development for institutions, departments, organizations and individuals so as for them to take part in awards related to performance and excellence, not to mention consultancy, research, innovation and other services being rendered by the ADICOE that is viewed as the first centre in the Middle East specializing in quality, distinction and organizational excellence.
