ADCCAC organizes a program to habilitate and prepare arbitrators in 2018

The Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Center (ADCCAC), an initiative by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is organizing a program to habilitate and prepare arbitrators in cooperation with the GCC Commercial Arbitration Center. The center has opened registration for those who desire to join the program in 2018.
The program contains six linked stages which would allow participants upon completion to obtain the necessary certificates to be registered as approved arbitrators in the list of the GCC Commercial Arbitration Center and to hold its official badge.
The program aims at habilitating technical and legal cadres in the GCC countries to work in the field of arbitration and to enhance the level of arbitration for those who are interested in the area of arbitration.
His Excellency Mohammed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber said that organizing this program in 2018 comes to answer the many requests of interested individuals in arbitration. “The program also features an elite of experts and specialists in this field,” he added.
The preparatory stage of the program revolves around arbitration and its legal nature and is followed by the first stage which comes under the title “Arbitration Agreement and Drafting Controls” which will handle the implications of arbitration, its interpretations, its independency from the contract and the conditions of drafting an arbitration.
The second stage will talk about the procedures and management of arbitration proceeding, whereas the third stage will revolve around the arbitration award, its approaches and how to draft it, and the fourth stage will be related to the execution and annulling an arbitration award. The program will conclude with the fifth stage which will tackle theoretical and practical arbitration practices.
Dr. Magdi Ibrahim Qasem, Executive Director of the ADCCAC, will supervise the entire program.
