The 2nd Abu Dhabi Business Forum attracts heads and directors of public entities and more than 600 private companies in Abu Dhabi

Under the subtitle “Partners towards achieving sustainable development” a large number of public entities in Abu Dhabi will participate in the 2nd edition of Abu Dhabi Business Forum 2017 which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on Monday, 02 October 2017 at Jumairah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi.
Organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi on, the forum will witness the participation of a number of authorities and departments including the Health Authority, Department of Education and Knowledge, Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, Department of Culture and Tourism, ZonesCorp, and a large number of companies operating in different sectors in Abu Dhabi including construction, real-estate, private education, healthcare, tourism, industry and workers’ residential cities.
These authorities and departments will showcase available investment opportunities for the private sector in the emirate within the frame of its awareness to increase the contribution of this sector to the GDP and its role in realizing the sustainable economic and social economic development in Abu Dhabi.
More than 600 companies operating in Abu Dhabi and the UAE confirmed their participating in the event in addition to a large number of senior directors in public entities related to different sectors including the services, trade, industry, healthcare, education, tourism, specialized economic zones among others.
In its 2nd edition, the Abu Dhabi Business Forum 2017 aims at strengthening the strategic partnership between the public sector and the private one in Abu Dhabi as well as overcoming all the challenges of the private sector in the emirate. The forum also aims at informing businessmen about the available investment opportunities offered by public authorities and establishment in the emirate within Abu Dhabi Plan which aims at supporting the role of the private sector to be more effective in serving the goals of sustainable development.
His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, said that the related authorities in Abu Dhabi, under the directions of the wise leadership, are working on enhancing the competitive business environment in the emirate and attracting foreign investments and the biggest industrial and investment companies to increase their presence and initiating investment projects according to Abu Dhabi Plan.
On the occasion of the participating of the Department of Education and Knowledge in the forum, His Excellency Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Private Schools and Quality Assurance Sector at Abu Dhabi Education Council, emphasized on the importance of the role of private education in providing a high-quality educational system that pushes all students into taking advantage of the entirety of their capabilities and to cope with continuing development in the educational sector.
Al-Dhaheri added that starting from the endeavor of the department to realize the vision of the emirate in building promising generations and to answer the increasing demands in private education and starting from its awareness to attract investors who possess experience and knowledge in managing educational institutes and providing a motivating environment for them, a number of investment opportunities in private education will be showcased represented in RFPs to build and run new private schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
