Abu Dhabi Chamber discusses organizing a joint UAE-Philippines Investment Forum

Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al-Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, has received His Excellency Constancio Vingno Jr, Ambassador of the Philippines to the UAE, at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi. Both sides discussed increasing cooperation between state and private companies in the UAE and the Philippines, especially those companies operating in Halal food sector.
Al-Qubaisi praised welcomed the notion of holding a UAE-Philippines investment forum next November to spread awareness and promote for the available investment opportunities in the two countries as well as to inform businesses with the natural and economic capabilities of Abu Dhabi and the Philippines.
The Deputy Director General praised the visit of a specialized trade delegation from the Philippines to Abu Dhabi next November, emphasizing that the Abu Dhabi Chamber will offer all that is necessary to make the visit a success by organizing and managing meetings with specialized Emirati companies.
For his part, H.E. Constancio Vingno, Ambassador of the Philippines to the UAE, said that the Embassy of the Philippines is spreading awareness amongst Filipino companies on Emirati markets and how important they are considering them gateways to the markets of the Middle East. He pointed to the interest of Pilipino companies in increasing their presence in Emirati markets and to benefit from the unique and excellent facilities and services they offer.
A recent report issued by the Abu Dhabi Chamber noted that the total trade exchange between the UAE and the Philippines reached AED 2.2 billion by the end of last year and that the number of Filipino companies registered in Abu Dhabi reached 63 ones.
