President of Chad invites Emirati businessmen to invest in his country in a number of key sectors

Honorable Idriss Déby, President of Chad, invited Emirati businessmen and companies to invest in his country and benefit from the available investment opportunities in a number of key sectors including animal stock, agriculture, mining, tourism, energy and transportation. This comes during a meeting a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Taher Musbeh Al-Kindi, 2nd Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, Déby expressed his government’s readiness to provide all the means necessary to make all Emirati investments in his country a success, especially that his country enjoys stability in all aspects of life.
Déby pointed out that Chad possess an excellent investment climate and the labour needed for such investments. “Chad also offers free transportation of goods and persons and easiness of establishing companies,” he added, noting that laws in Chad protects foreign investors in addition to offering law taxes.
Both sides agreed to organize an Emirati-Chadian investment forum in September in Abu Dhabi. The Chamber will hold the forum within its efforts to inform Emirati businessmen and companies with the investment climate and opportunities in Chad.
In his speech, H.E. Dr. Taher Musbeh Al-Kindi, 2nd Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, welcomed President Déby and the accompanying delegation, pointing out that the visit will contribute to expanding economic and investment cooperation between Emirati and Chadian companies.
“The Abu Dhabi Chamber looks forward to organizing the Emirati-Chadian investment forum and to inform businessmen in Abu Dhabi who are desirous of entering Chadian markets, about the investment climate in Chad in detail,” Al-Kindi said.
His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al-Shamisi, UAE Ambassador to Chad; His Excellency Dr. Mubaral Al-Ameri, Abu Dhabi Chamber Board Member; His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, attended the meeting. A number of businessmen and investors in Abu Dhabi attended the meeting as well.
